Melbourne Zoo Wedding for Kylie and Steve in the middle of Winter. It was the perfect location for both ceremony and reception all in one location for a winter wedding with guests being able to enjoy the zoological gardens in between the ceremony and reception while family photo’s and location photo’s were taken.
The Ceremony – Japanese Garden Melbourne Zoo
The ceremony was held in the beautiful Japanese Garden with our Wooden Arch and artificial flowers as the backdrop in front of the garden hedge. Our Giant 1.8 m high Love Letters were in full display at the entrance to the Japanese Garden as their guests arrived. Guests took full advantage before and after the ceremony to take selfies and photo’s in front of our LOVE.
After the ceremony our Wooden Arch and Giant Love Letters become the perfect backdrop for lots of family photo’s before guests wandered through the Zoo and getting a hot drink at the cafe before the reception in the beautiful Rainforest Room. Once photo’s had been completed we then relocated the Arch and Giant Love Letters to the reception close by for full advantage of their hire and to enhance their styling even further.
The Reception – The Rainforest Room
Once we setup the ceremony area we moved into the reception room which was held in the Rainforest Room which is one of about 4 reception rooms the Melbourne Zoo has to offer.
The Rainforest Room is perfect for smaller intimate style weddings with it’s own bar and dance floor with outdoor balcony which over looks the Monkey’s enclosure,,,
We enhanced the styling of the room with our bridal backdrop with fairylights and our acrylic flower stands for the centerpieces with florals on top. We transferred the wooden arch from the ceremony and packed it over the cake table and our Giant Love Letters we placed on the balcony to enhance the outdoor area and the perfect back drop as the guests danced away on the dance floor.
Just so in love with the simple but effect styling that matched perfectly with the location of the Melbourne Zoo and so intimate that the guests partied and danced away.
We arrived at the reception around 11 pm to pack down and collect from the Zoo… The Zoo staff were so accommodating and helpful through the whole process as due to the sheer size of our Giant Love Letters were granted special access with our Truck and and the staff walked us through the Zoo both before hand after the wedding bump in and out process…
