Skyhigh Mount Dandenong Wedding for Joanna and Albert was the perfect location with the ceremony in the secret garden and reception in the function room
I first met Joanna and her mum about 3 months out from her wedding when she was getting frustrated with another supplier as she had been waiting for a quote that just never seemed to come.
When Joanna first contact me via email and we contacted by phone immediately to discuss her vision. Joanna sent me a few photo’s that she had found and we arranged for an appointment within in a few days.
Based on a the photo’s I new straight away that I needed to incorporate our appointment with our florist Trish from Tyabb Roses. Trish is not only an amazing florist but is also a rose farm. Joanna wanted Roses in her floral’s and I new Trish was the best person to help Joanna bring her dream wedding to life with fresh flowers.
At the appointment Trish brought along some roses for Joanna and her mum and were blown away with the aroma of the roses and variety offered. We sat down over a couple of hours and by the end of the appointment we had created a concept that we brought to life 3 months later.
Working with a budget it was decided that the biggest part of the design process was the flowers and to be cost effective and save the flower arrangements were made to be used not only at the ceremony but also within the reception as well…
The Ceremony – The Secret Garden Skyhigh Mount Dandenong
The Gazebo styling made up of draping by Wedding Hire Melbourne and Flowers by Tyabb Roses. The flowers from the Gazebo were used afterwards as the bridal table flowers across the front. Made up of about 4 to 5 pieces allowed us to attach the front of the gazebo easily and adjust as needed and again easily removed and carried to the reception across the car park .
Americana chairs were hired for family and guests to take a seat during the ceremony along with the large lanterns that were placed at the front and back of the aisle for additional styling. Tyabb Roses created the florals for the top of the lanterns with fresh petals placed down each side of the aisle all within the color pallet.of rich reds, burgundy and touch of white with greenery. Petal cones with fresh petals hung from the chairs for full affect and celebration.
The Reception – Main Function Room Skyhigh Mount Dandenong
Once the ceremony was finished we transferred all the flowers and the lanterns from the ceremony to the reception quickly as we were fighting the weather and wanted to protect the flowers as much as possible.
We had already started the reception styling and needed to complete the last few items once the ceremony was over. The venue had set the room prior to our arrival for a formal sit down reception. We completed the styling with centerpieces consisting of manzinta trees draped with acrylic strands and hanging tealights placed in the middle of the fresh flower rings giving a true enchanted feeling. Burgundy Napkins were provided by us Wedding Hire Melbourne to give the additional color to compliment the color theme.
The aisle lanterns with fresh flowers on top with battery pillar candles were placed in front of the open fire place to give ambiance with out having the open fire place going.
